Closure of your CBI Account

Following a recent review of the Bank’s internal policy, we regret to inform you that we will no longer be able to provide you with banking services and your Account(s) held with CBI will be closed. We are therefore providing you with thirty (30) days of notice of our intention to close the Account(s).


You are requested to visit your local branch and complete account closure formalities before 30 Days from the date of the SMS. Please bring with you any un-used cheques and ATM/debit and credit cards to complete the account closure formalities. In the event you have any existing direct debit(s) / standing order(s) please arrange to have them closed through the branch.


We also request you to make necessary arrangements to cancel or replace all post-dated cheques which may have been issued by you.


Please note, that notice of your account closure should not be construed or interpreted as any clearance or release of any financial obligation(s) or commitments that you may have entered into with CBI.
