Credit Shield

Credit Shield is an optional insurance product available to primary credit cardholders that provides credit protection in the event of the cardholder’s death, permanent total disability and certain critical illnesses. Credit protection is provided under the Group Credit Card Holders Policy No. P/01/GPA/22/0017421/02 issued by Orient Insurance PJSC in favour of Commercial Bank International PSC and is subject to Credit Shield Terms and Conditions

Maximum age for granting cover will be 60th birthday but insurance cover will cease as soon as the Credit Card Holder attains age 70 years for death due to any cause and 65 years for disability and critical illness.

The charge for Credit Shield is 0.85% on the monthly card statement balance.

If you opt for Credit Shield, you will receive the following policy benefits:

• Complimentary life cover – Natural Death
• All other policy benefits listed below (Death due accident, Permanent Total Disability, Critical Illness etc.)

Without Credit Shield, you will not be eligible for complimentary life cover and you will not be covered for any of the above mentioned policy benefits.

Cover Limits in case of Death or Permanent Total Disability:

*Up to the credit limit of the primary card or the outstanding whichever is lower.

Cover Limits in case of Critical Illness:

*Up to the credit limit of the primary card or the outstanding whichever is lower.

Critical Illnesses covered under this policy:

• Cancer
• Stroke
• Heart Attack
• Coronary Artery (Bypass) Surgery
• Major Organ Transplant
• Kidney Failure (End Stage Renal Disease)
• Multiple Sclerosis

Credit Shield Claim Procedure:
